IQAC

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous Government unit funded by UGC that assesses and accredits Higher Education Institutes. NAAC accreditation primarily focuses on improving the quality parameter of higher education.

Kuchinda college has achieved considerable academic excellence within the framework of a degree college affiliated to Sambalpur University, Odisha. It has been accredited by NAAC twice first in 2005 with “C++” and then in 2016 with “B” grade.

NAAC guidelines prescribe the formation of an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in higher education institutes as a post accreditation quality sustenance measure. IQAC was formed in Kuchinda College in 2016 with the objective of envisioning and materializing such curricular and co-curricular action-plans which will be conducive for holistic development of the learners. AQARs are submitted reflecting the year wise activities. With this aim in view IQAC of Kuchinda College has prepared a blueprint for curricular and co-curricular activities among the learners all round the academic session with proper coordination with the departments of various streams of subjects. With the initiative and planning of IQAC, seminars as well as webinars, both National and International are being organized by the departments in regular interval. During Covid-19 Pandemic a good number of National and International webinars could be organized thanks to the coordination of IQAC. Apart from monitoring academic activities IQAC also emphasizes the organization of cultural events, elocution and quiz competitions to develop learner’s personality and IQ. Other social service oriented activities like Blood Donation Camp, Tree Plantation, Adoption of villages, AIDS Awareness Programs, and Environmental Development camps are being taken up by the NSS and YRC units with the coordination of IQAC.
